CHERRY MELLO - STILL OR BUBBLY

​The Mello Family of fruit wines is a perennial favorite at SpringGate both sparkling and still.  An Eastern US twist on Prosecco - a drink that allows the sunshine to dance in the orchard and field; this wine is created from a blend of two popular fruits:  Cherries and Fall apples - sweet and medium bodied.  The apple wine comes from local family owned farms.  This sweet wine is intentionally a low ABV wine of around 7%.

​VINIFICATION AND BLENDING

​SpringGate Mellos are naturally fermented using either grape wine juice of carefully selected varieties, or raw, unpasteurized juice of fresh-pressed Pennsylvania Apples including our favorite old cultivars. Our unique fermentation, select wine yeasts and aging, stay true to the fruit, authentic flavors and tradition only present in fresh-pressed Eastern wine.

To this "vineyard experience" or "orchard experience" we then blend and add that carbonation that many enjoy, or not for those who love a still wine.
