It's time to shine up your sleighs, Santalympics is back for its sixth year to bring the Christmas-time fun!
We will meet in the Oval on Saturday, December 16th from 12-4PM for fun Christmas and wine themed games for your party to enjoy. There are six events, and you can either participate as a team of 4 or a solo. The six events are described below but are subject to change. We encourage participants to dress in their finest Santa suits and bring their elf helpers - you'll receive bonus points for dressing up! Registration begins at 12:00PM with the first game starting promptly at 12:15PM. Tickets are required for this event and can be purchased here. |

SIX EVENTS

CORK ON A SPOON
Santa needs help distributing coal in stockings this year. However, Santa is feeling a little grumpy this season and decided to make it a harder to move the coal to the right spot. You must use a spoon to carry the coal one-by-one and place it inside the stocking. Your team must move as many as you can in 2 minutes. A teammate or staff will hold the stocking open for you.
Each team member attempts to scoop up a cork from a box with a spoon, walk it across the grass and drop it in a stocking that is a couple yards away. If the cork falls off the spoon, that teammates turn is over and the next one will go. Team members will rotate who is scooping up the cork. There will be a two minute time limit. You get a point for each one in the stocking. GIFT WRAPPING WINE BOTTLES
There have been many nice wine drinkers this year so Santa has some serious gift wrapping to do! You and your team must help Santa wrap as many wine bottles as you can in 1 minute and be sure they make it into Santa’s gift sack!
Team members and solo participants will be given 1 minute to wrap as many bottles in a case of wine as fast as they can. Wrapping paper and tape will be supplied by Spring Gate. No part of the wine bottle should be visible. For every well-wrapped wine bottle, the team, or solo participant, will receive 1 point. SANTA CHIMNEY PONG
Santa has to warm up his gift-to-chimney shooting skills before the 25th! This is our take on the classic game of beer pong.
Teams of Santas will go head-to-head to show off their gift shooting skills against another team. The chimneys will be set up in two opposing triangular groups of 6. Whoever sinks the most balls in chimneys in 5 minutes wins! If you are on a team, you will take turns (rotating teammates) shooting at the opposing teams’ chimneys. If a team or solo participant clears all 6 of the chimneys before 5 minutes are up, then they are the automatic winners. Winner takes all the points. You will want to have your aim on point so every chimney receives a gift! |
GIFT BOX SHAKE
Some coal has accidentally fallen into the nice children’s gift boxes. You must shake it out before Santa takes them to the sleigh. This present box will be tied around your torso so get ready to dance to “Winter Wonderland” for 45 seconds and shake out the coal with some cool dance moves.
A teammate will be allowed to only use the movement of dance to try to shake corks out of a tissue box. They must remain standing and not use their hands or each other to shake the corks out of the box. One point for each cork that gets shaken out. WINE BOTTLE RING TOSS
All of our wines have made the “Nice List” this year! Instead of presents, they will receive a halo for this past year of good deeds. There are 6 wines and 6 halos. Take turns with your teammates by tossing the halos and trying to get one around the neck of each bottle.
This game is based off a carnival-style bottle toss. Players receive 6 rings and will receive a point for each ring they get around a bottle of wine. More than one ring per bottle is acceptable. Bonus point: One ring on each bottle. CANDY CANE SCAVENGER HUNT
It seems that Santa has misplaced his candy canes this year, and he needs your help finding them. 50 candy canes have grown legs and hidden themselves among the property. Before the event, you'll be given instructions on areas that can be searched and areas that are restricted.
Your team will have 45 minutes to find as many candy canes as possible. The team with the most candy canes found at the end of 45 minutes wins! |
